Skill Explained

• Ice Rink Creation: From a Passive to an Active, on 20s cooldown, similar to Arda's No Digging now, you have a tool to get ahead, strategically. As you accumulate Icy Air stacks only after finding Items or EXP. So you can get contested in your first area, but you can get subsequent areas, or even claim key fights for yourself now. At the time of writing, it is still unclear how long it will last. But it will be removed when creating another one in a different location.

• Danse Macabre: As you don't lose your rink from Danse Macabre anymore, your burst goes to 1.4% # of Icy Air stacks from 2% previously. So you can actually use it when you have it now. Before the rework, you had to think about the trade-off of losing your Rink.

General Tips

• Stamina Focused-Cell/Aptitude: Elena's kit doesn't like resting as it is lost opportunities to accumulate stacks. So Accelerate/Blue Cell can help Elena to keep searching and build more stacks rather than resting. She might even recover HP while searching. Dragon Dobok is another consideration to prevent Elena from resting for Injury recovery as well.

• Early: After the rework, she still can't claim her first area, but she can potentially claim subsequent areas, or key strategic ones. So pick your spot early. Survive for now. Use your Rink when you have access to claim key areas to start getting a momentum.

• Mid: Icy Air Stacks come at a great timing for big fights as Elena probably has stacks now for key fights like Animals and Wickeline. Be aware that you do reveal the location, if behind.

• Late: Finish everything by setup your Ice Rink on the last area. Opponent can't really prevent it anymore from happening!

Counters

• Contest Strategically: Before Elena has stacks and summoned her ring, it's time to contest as she only receives stacks when finding Items and EXP. First area is a guarantee in your pocket! Traps also work against her, late game. For last area, after the rework, it is impossible now to avoid Elena from having her Rink in the last area. Hopefully you got ahead before reaching that point.

• The more opponent alive, the worst for Elena: The more players left on the Lumia Island, the less Elena has "free" areas to accumulate stacks uncontested.

• Ice Rink Location: Elena's rework makes Elena reveals her location more often. So take advantage of that if you are ahead.

• Danse Macabre Burst: Elena also has a burst that gets stronger the longer she has been skating. Be careful!
